Our mission is to improve access to legal services and to promote law reform for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women through advocacy and representation in the legal system.

HOW WE CAN HELP
Our help is like an image of a person on an island with the sunset in the background. It is holistic. The person is the individualised legal help we provide. The island is the community and the education workshops we deliver. The sunset in the background is the work we do to change systems, policy, and law to impact the environment and its effect on First Nations women.
LEGAL HELP
Our Legal team consists of lawyers, paralegals and client support to give you quality legal help. Child protection, domestic violence and family law are our key areas. We give legal information and advice, court representation, host legal clinics or do other discrete tasks.
CHANGING LAWS
Our whole team are committed to changing laws and policies that actively work against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their children. We can make submissions, write letters, participate in research projects and more.
COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Our Community and Legal teams collaborate to provide community info sessions and community legal education for community members or other stakeholders. Sharing knowledge is an important part of our work.

OUR SERVICE REGION
Our offices are located in Townsville and on Palm Island. We focus our service delivery on regional, rural and remote Queensland that may not have easy access or choice for legal help. We travel to many communities to create access to justice.
